Frequently asked questions
What does the Communications sector mean in stock classification?
A sector groups companies by where most of their revenue comes from — not by size and not by country. We use the FactSet Industries and Economic Sectors model, the same one the TradingView screener uses: twenty sectors at the top level.
How many exchanges hold the Communications sector?
It is published here in the exchanges where it reaches the publishing threshold, and it is absent or below the threshold in the others. That absence describes the listed market of that country; it is not a gap in our data.
Is this page a recommendation to buy Communications stocks?
No. The page explains the sector, shows its past numbers and example companies; it carries no financial advice and no allocation percentage for any sector.
