Which exchanges hold the Energy Minerals sector, and how many stocks?

Other exchanges hold 53 more stocks in total, all shown in your account.

In some exchanges the sector exists but sits below the publishing threshold (5 stocks). In other exchanges it holds no listed stock at all.

Saudi Exchange (Tadawul) — only 3 stocks — We track 337 stocks with a price history on this exchange. The world's largest oil exporter has just three listed producers in its energy sector, and the reason is declared in Aramco's own filings: the concession gives a single company the exclusive right to explore and produce the Kingdom's hydrocarbons, so there is no population of independent explorers to list. The state holds 81.48% of Aramco directly and the tradable float is around 2.5% (Aramco Annual Report 2025).

The Egyptian Exchange — only one stock — We track 228 stocks with a price history on this exchange. The Egyptian Exchange leans heavily to banks: Financials 62.9% and Real Estate 10.4% of the MSCI Egypt IMI (31 August 2026), with utilities, energy and transport at zero. The state divestment programme is about 48% delivered to mid-2025, and its third phase only 12.5%.

Boursa Kuwait — only one stock — We track 125 stocks with a price history on this exchange. At Boursa Kuwait the mix of listed companies explains the gaps: most are financial services, real estate and industrials, while health care and technology are almost absent.

Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange — only two stocks — We track 64 stocks with a price history on this exchange. Abu Dhabi is larger than its neighbours by listing count, yet its industry index series runs to ten sectors and carries no technology industry at all. The floats are small: ADNOC Gas listed 5% in 2023 and its free float reached 9% in 2025 while ADNOC retains 86%.

Dubai Financial Market — no listed stock at all — We track 64 stocks with a price history on this exchange. The Dubai Financial Market's own taxonomy runs to nine sectors. Across the UAE, financials, real estate and telecoms make up 81.5% of the MSCI index (31 August 2026). The floats themselves are small: DEWA floated 18% in 2022.

Qatar Stock Exchange — only two stocks — We track 54 stocks with a price history on this exchange. The Qatar Stock Exchange's own taxonomy runs to seven sectors, not twenty: banks and financial services, consumer goods and services, industrials, insurance, real estate, telecoms and transport — with no technology, health care or energy. MSCI Qatar has twelve constituents in six sectors, Financials at 72.4%.

Casablanca Stock Exchange — no listed stock at all — We track 59 stocks with a price history on this exchange. Casablanca lists about eighty companies, weighted to banks, mining, cement and telecoms: Financials 31.7%, Materials 22.8% and Industrials 21% of MSCI Morocco (31 August 2026), with no Information Technology sector at all. The country's largest company — OCP, the phosphate group — is 94.12% state-owned and funds itself with bonds rather than equity.

Frequently asked questions

What does the Energy Minerals sector mean in stock classification?

A sector groups companies by where most of their revenue comes from — not by size and not by country. We use the FactSet Industries and Economic Sectors model, the same one the TradingView screener uses: twenty sectors at the top level.

How many exchanges hold the Energy Minerals sector?

It is published here in the exchanges where it reaches the publishing threshold, and it is absent or below the threshold in the others. That absence describes the listed market of that country; it is not a gap in our data.

Is this page a recommendation to buy Energy Minerals stocks?

No. The page explains the sector, shows its past numbers and example companies; it carries no financial advice and no allocation percentage for any sector.
